Apple has partnered with Ferrari, Mercedes, Volvo and other vehicle manufacturers to launch CarPlay, bringing iPhone and Siri voice control to cars. Samsung announces Gear Fit wristband with a curved AMOLED screen

Samsung have announcesd a Gear Fit wristband with a curved AMOLED screen. This slimmer version of the smartwatch will tell the time, but does so in the form factor of a bracelet, with a horizontal-oriented curved Super AMOLED screen. The 1.84-inch display sports a resolution of 432×128 pixels, and Samsung is trying to recreate many of the experiences from the Gear 2 and Gear 2 Neo on the wider, shorter screen. Huawei Launches TalkBand B1 Smartband

Huawei has launched its first fitness tracker, the TalkBand B1, at Mobile World Congress, where it also launched the mid-range Huawei Ascend G6 budget smartphone and the Huawei MediaPad X1 tablet. The TalkBand B1 looks a lot like other fitness trackers from the likes of Nike, Fitbit, LG, Sony and Garmin but adds a Bluetooth 4.1 earpiece to facilitate wireless calling. Samsung announces Gear 2 and Gear 2 Neo smartwatches

As we told you last week, Samsung has now announced the Gear and Gear 2 Neo smartwatches with both running the Tizen OS. The utilisation of the Tizen OS has led Samsung to drop "Galaxy" from the product name. Thew new OS is just part of the changes, though. The hardware's been revamped as well. Samsung to reportedly reveal a Tizen-powered Galaxy Gear next week

On February 24th, Samsung is reportedly set to reveal two new Galaxy Gear smartwatches in addition to the flagship Galaxy S5. One of the Galaxy Gear models will apparently run Tizen. Samsung has been experimenting with the operating system on a number of devices, but launching a Tizen-powered smartwatch, which has a much less established and more malleable app and software infrastructure, could be a good move. Pebble’s Smartwatch appstore opening on Monday

Pebble has announced that their smartwatch's appstore will launch on Monday, February 3rd. The store will go live at 3pm GMT. While the appstore will support both iOS and Android, the store for the former will launch first while the Android version will open shortly afterwards.
