BlackBerry Z10 images get people talking and let’s confirm BBM Video Calling
Earlier this morning, we published a set of images highlighting them as retail images.
Emails have been flying in and the telephone has been busy regarding these images. Lots have people have incorrectly assumed that these are full scale advertising images to be used by RIM.
That is certainly not the case. Indeed, the fact that they contain no information material or anything to entice the user to purchase the BlackBerry should clearly indicate that.
A few days ago, our developers were investigating the upcoming BlackBerry 10 Dev Alpha OS update and they uncovered a set of some useful images, some of which I included in the article. Yesterday, the OS update was publicly released and we were then at liberty to publish them.
So let’s be completely clear here. These images were pulled directly from RIM’s latest public version of the dev alpha and I assume will be used in the retail os.
Here’s an extremely quick video also included in the OS that verifies that BBM will indeed have Video Calling.

What this highlights, is the incredible scrutiny that BlackBerry 10 is being put under. Everything is being taken apart, analysed and dissected by readers. The interest in BlackBerry 10 is enormous. The anticipation for BlackBerry 10 huge. The good news is that we are now only 18 days away from the launch event. It can’t come soon enough.
