Telmap drops support for all BlackBerry non-touch devices
Telmap, developers of Telmap Navigator and M8 for BlackBerry smartphones, have announced that they will be dropping support for all non-touch BlackBerry smartphones.
Unfortunately some of you (blackberry users) are experiencing network problems and downloading problems from our web site.
Unfortunately, due to some technical issues we will no longer support Blackberry devices on the Telmap User Group and for Android users, we will limit the number of countries supported and increase it gradually.. we will post an updated list of supported countries (for Android) tomorrow.
Originally, it was thought that they were dropping support for BlackBerry completely but TelMap have confirmed to RapidBerry that this is not the case.
To clarify, we are no longer supporting non-touch BB devices. M8 for BB touch devices is still available for Free in the UK & Spain (visit http://www.m8app.com/ for download) – M8 for Android is available on the beta website http://www.telmapbeta.com/ for Israel, US, UK, Spain and Germany. We apologize for any inconvenience.

This could prove to be interesting. Telmap on the current bold devices, but, maybe not the #Blackberry10. Wednesday is only 1 1/2 days away.
Translated – no BlackBerry 10 version is ready. Otherwise a beta would have been made available before now.
Thanks for your feedback. Unfortunately we are unable to discuss any developments we may have for BlackBerry 10 at the moment – but we will be sure to update all our BlackBerry users of any developments as they happen. The Telmap team
I use M8 on my Bold 9900 at the moment and I’m disappointed that M8 won’t available at launch for BlackBerry 10.
Considering how close we are to launch day, I would have expected Telmap to have had the beta out for a while.
Let’s hope BlackBerry Navigator for BlackBerry 10 is good in that case.
Hi midinc, The only users who will no longer be unsupported are those who use Telmap Beta. Telmap Navigator will still be supported for non-touch devices. Unfortunately due to software restrictions we cannot upgrade newer versions of Telmap Navigator or M8 for BlackBerry non-touch users. We are also not at able to discuss developments for BlackBerry 10 at this moment – but we will be sure to update all our BlackBerry users of any developments as they happen. Thanks! The Telmap team
I can’t see the point you’re making here.
You seem to be saying that you are indeed dropping all support for non-touch screen devices, which is no use to me who is currently using a 9780 while waiting for Blackberry 10.
We know the apps are still available in BlackBerry World but whats’ the point if they won’t be upgraded further.
Would be more interested in seeing a BlackBerry 10 version
Hi guys – We just wanted to make sure there was no confusion with our users out there! With regards to the rumours that Telmap will no longer be supporting BlackBerry devices, the statements published on the Telmap Facebook page were targeted at Telmap Beta users only. It is true that Telmap will no longer release or support versions for non-Touch devices for Telmap Beta users. BlackBerry touch-screen devices will however still be able to use M8, your local mate. Both Telmap Navigator (for non-Touch devices) and M8 for BlackBerry Touch devices are still available from BlackBerry Apps World! Please get in touch and let us know how you are finding the apps or let us know if you are having any problems by visiting http://forms.pwizard.com/telmapsupport/?f=1332ce Thanks! The Telmap team
Wonder if this has got anything to do with RIM putting BlackBerry navigator into beta?
