Sales assistant wanted over theft of £150k worth of iPhone 5s from O2 shop
An O2 sales assistant is being sought by police after £150k worth of brand new iPhone 5′s were stolen from an O2 store in Colliers Wood.
The shop had taken delivery of 252 of the new phones which were due to go on sale at 9am today but they were pinched at approximately 1.30am this morning.
A quantity of cash was also stolen from the safe.
The man police are looking for is Usman Sethi, 23, from Ilford, in Essex, who is a sales assistant at the shop.
He is an Asian man, 6’1″ in height and a Pakistani national – and is thought to drive a grey Ford Mondeo.
The theft left a lot of unhappy O2 cutomers as many had been queuing up in advance of the event, and many had already pre-ordered.
At the time of writing, O2 has not stated when they will be to replenish their stock.
