Orange sponsors African Cup of Nations tournament

Orange has announced it is the headline sponsor of the African Cup of Nations football tournament which kicks off tomorrow (January 19).

The tournament will be held in South Africa with each venue sporting the international mobile phone operator’s branding. As part of the deal Orange customers will be able to access exclusive mobile content from the tournament.

In addition to the international exposure the brand will receive, six of the countries represented will be competing from countries where Orange operates – The Ivory Coast, Niger, Mali, The Democratic Republic of the Congo, Tunisia and Morocco.

In the UK the tournament will be broadcast on ITV4 and Eurosport.
