Nokia Lumia To Feature in Hollyoaks
Product placements are nothing new to the film industry. The lucky brand will get plenty of coverage and hopefully many sales through the highlight of the item (think The Matrix or James Bond) and you should be able to recall some of the devices.
London running UK Soap Opera Hollyoaks is to feature Nokia’s Lumia windows Phones.
The two chosen devices are the Lumia 800 and Lumia 710, Nokia’s first and second released smartphones out of its collaborations with Microsoft.
In addiiton to the characters use of the handsets we will also see the devices tied to the story lines. Story lines are usually kept secret from the public and the actors until it is necessary so we do not have any details on what route the story lines will take.
We will also see posters of the Nokia Lumia devices placed in highly prominent positions throughout the programme. Nokia accessories will also be sighted including Monsters Purity HD headphones.
However, that appears to be not enough for our Nokia placements and two characters from Hollyoaks will have their characters developed off-screen to promote the Nokia Lumia windows devices.
The new contract is to last for 4 months which will see Nokia’s lumia’s take on a high profile advertising campaign.

Hollyoaks is set in a fictional suburb of Chester and is centred around a college called Hollyoaks Community College. The characters are generally in their late teens or early twenties.
