GSMA NFC & Mobile Money Summit ‘Call for Papers’
This years GSMA’s NFC & Mobile Money Summit will be hosted in Milan on 22-25th October, 2012.
For the past 4 years, Mobile Money Summit has been the premier event for the leaders and players in the mobile and financial industries. This annual event is now being expanded to showcase NFC and its many applications. In 2012 and beyond, the new name will now be the GSMA NFC & Mobile Money Summit.
The event promises to deliver a visionary conference programme and will bring together key players in the mobile and financial sectors, whilst offering attendees the opportunity to network, foster the growth of NFC and Expand the Power of Mobile Money.
Running alongside the conference programme, the NFC & Mobile Money Summit exhibition will showcase the most innovative NFC and Mobile Money products and services.
As with all GSMA events, they are reliant on their ‘Call for Papers’ process to help inform and develop the NFC & Mobile Money Summit conference agenda.
Below are the key areas that they’ll be focusing on in the 2012 conference agenda. Of course, submissions are not strictly limited to this list of topics and we will accept proposals for alternate subjects.

The primary objective for the NFC and Mobile Money Summit 2012, as with all GSMA events, is to deliver the most compelling conference programme possible. The selection process take the following into account:
- Relevance of the subject
- Strength of the angle taken
- Originality of the content proposed
- Originality of the presentation format
- Newsworthiness of the content proposed
- Quality and level of the speaker
- Strength of the references offered
In addition, the agenda development team works to ensure that each session and the overall conference programme remain balanced. In order to achieve this they look to include a variety of viewpoints and/or representatives from different elements of the value chain on each subject, to ensure the number of speakers from individual companies is limited and reflective of their representation in the industry.
Every submission is treated in the strictest confidence and the programme development team is very happy to sign non-disclosure agreements to ensure the inclusion of any commercially sensitive material that would strengthen your proposal.
