It’s not often a leak comes directly from a company but Mozilla’s Asa Dotzle has leaked the specs of the first tablet to be powered by Firefox OS.

Manufactured by Foxconn, the slate (codenamed Flatfish) is actually the Infocus New Tab F1. This is a low-end tablet built by the contract manufacturer. Infocus sells its slate online for $150 and Mozilla could try to get these to market at under $100.

The tablet is equipped with a 10.1 inch IPS display with resolution of 1280 x 800. Under the hood is a quad-core 1GHz Allwinner CPU that employs the ARM Cortex A-7, with a PowerVR SGX544MP2 GPU. 2GB of RAM is on board along with 32GB of native storage. A microSD slot is included for external storage.

Back and front-facing snappers weigh in at 5MP and 2MP respectively, and a 7000mAh battery powers the whole kit and kaboodle. With support for 802.11b/g/n, this is a Wi-Fi only slab.
