Mozilla have opened pre-orders for the Flame, its first official developer handset for the Firefox OS.

The mid-range handset can be pre-ordered now for $170 from everbuying.com and should take roughly four weeks to ship.

The Flame is distinctly mid-tier as a device and features a 4.5 inch, 854 x 480 pixel display, a dual-core 1.2 GHz Snapdragon processor, 5MP camera with flash, 8GB of internal storage and 1GB of RAM.

Mozilla expects to start shipping the handsets out to developers sometime before June 30th but the Flame pre-order will end June 10th, so developers interested in picking one up should act quickly.[signoff predefined=”Enjoy this?” icon=”icon-users”][/signoff]
