China approves Nokia – Microsoft deal, with patent concessions

China's Ministry of Commerce gave conditional regulatory approval to Microsoft's purchase of Nokia's Devices & Services business. The US$7.2 billion deal means that Microsoft could very soon produce its own smartphones using the Windows Phone operating system. Stolen mobile phone bills cap to be introduced in UK by networks

A cap on the cost of bills from stolen mobile phones is to be introduced after the government reached agreement with four operators to end "shock bills", the culture secretary Maria Miller will announce. According to Kantar Wordpanel ComTech, BlackBerry held market share of just 0.8% in the United States for the three months ended Oct. 31.
