New Trade-Up Program Encourages iPhone Users to Switch to BlackBerry Passport
BlackBerry today introduced a host of holiday offers, making it easy and more affordable for customers to purchase new BlackBerry smartphones for the holidays.
Just in time for the holidays, BlackBerry will be offering limited time incentives, including:
- BlackBerry trade-up program for current iPhone users looking to “work wide” on a BlackBerry Passport;
- Discounts on unlocked BlackBerry Passport and BlackBerry Z30 smartphone devices.
- PayPal financing, providing customers with a flexible option to purchase unlocked devices.
New Trade-Up Program for Apple iPhone Users
BlackBerry is launching the BlackBerry Passport Trade-Up Program, aimed at iPhone users that want to convert to the new BlackBerry Passport. For a limited time, starting December 1, Apple iPhone users can upgrade to a BlackBerry Passport and get up to $400 USD/CAD back on their iPhone, plus an additional $150 USD ($200 CAD) from BlackBerry.
Eligible customers will receive amounts back via a Visa Prepaid Card to be sent by mail following receipt of a qualifying Apple iPhone and a valid proof of purchase of a BlackBerry Passport. The promotional value is based upon the condition and model of the Apple iPhone traded in. New BlackBerry Passports must be purchased on or from ShopBlackBerry.com or purchased from, shipped from and sold by Amazon.com after December 1, 2014 to qualify for the BlackBerry Passport Trade-Up program.
The BlackBerry Passport Trade-Up program runs from December 1, 2014 to February 13, 2015 and is available in North America only. BlackBerry is also offering a Black Friday deal for BlackBerry Passport and BlackBerry Z30 smartphone devices.
Beginning November 22 and for a limited time only, BlackBerry will be offering $100 USD/CAD off the purchase of a black colored BlackBerry Passport. That means that U.S. customers can purchase a new BlackBerry Passport for only $499 USD (from an already reduced price of $599 USD) and Canadian customers can purchase a new BlackBerry Passport for $599 CAD (from $699 CAD).
This offer is available through ShopBlackBerry.com in the U.S. and Canada and on Amazon.com in the U.S. In addition, customers can take advantage of a new discount on BlackBerry Z30 smartphone devices purchased through ShopBlackBerry.com, including $275 USD off MSRP in the U.S. and $250 CAD off MSRP in Canada. Discounted pricing for all devices does not include tax or shipping costs.
With BlackBerry’s new financing options from PayPal Credit, U.S. customers can now purchase unlocked devices and accessories without taking an immediate hit to their bank accounts or holiday funds. For any purchases over $200 USD, customers can purchase through PayPal and choose to pay off their balance in full by the payment due date that is on their statements, or pay in six installments over six months.(ii)
