Another high profile BlackBerry employee has opted to leave the company as Donny Halliwell, Senior Product Marketing Manager at BlackBerry, has announced he is leaving BlackBerry for Hootsuite.
“I recently (cryptically) announced that I will be moving on to a new opportunity, and now the time has come for me to reflect on my time here at BlackBerry. Before I do so, I want to give a massive shout-out to the community of fans, followers and readers who have tuned in so passionately these few years. Being involved with you both online and in person is one of my favorite collections of memories.”
Donny has operated the global handles for the BlackBerry brand Ã¢â‚¬â€ including the Twitter handle @BlackBerry with over 4 million followers and corporate Facebook pages with over 30 million fans. Where content is king, he has developed creative and successful brand campaigns and product launches including video campaigns with over 5 million views on YouTube.
As Editor-in-Chief for the corporate blogs at BlackBerry, Donny has interviewed and written for C-level executives and celebrity partners at the company.
