The boot up time on the Z10 is extremely long which is a surprise as this was supposed to be one of the things that they were working on reducing.
My lord, that was a long long wait for the boot up.
But given that once it is on, I dont need more than a swipe to get it to do what I want is reassuring
Yeah. It takes a while to get used to the Z10 as it is a completely new experience.
The Z10 boot up is horrendous for a system that is trying to compete. This is something clearly overlooked. Very much like the Bold 9900, it was presented well, but it was shipped with the worst OS build for a launch product affecting the battery to shine for 4 hours. Over time however, OS builds from numerous different carriers improved the OS on a whole including fixes to battery management giving 12+ hour battery in some cases. I feel this may be a similar path with the Z10. Next OS update will surely improve boot time and those subtle jitters one gets from moving from the home screen to the Hub. This, along with the lack of the major apps at launch will be what garners the slow start to the race. Overall, it seems continued use and having a working knowledge of the Z10 will be quite different in comparison to horse play found in the videos above.
