BlackBerry Q10 may not hit the UK until Q3
The BlackBerry Q10 may not be hitting the UK until Q3, if a report by Wired is anything to go by.
Wired had previously heard from a source at one of the UK’s major mobile networks that “a release in the third quarter of 2013″ wasn’t unlikely for the phone.
Adding weight to this, they are also reporting that the device hasn’t even entered testing on at least one of the UK’s major networks.
The phone is expected to launch in the US around early-June.
CEO Thorsten Heins wouldn’t narrow this down and simply said:
“We are working closely with our carrier partners to accelerate their testing process. We expect the first global carriers to launch the BlackBerry Q10 in April.”
In a way, this may actually be a good thing as it will probably entice users that are waiting on the device to give the Z10 a try.
