BlackBerry Hackathon all the way to Kilimanjaro

Kilimanjaro
Kilimanjaro

On January 20th, 2013 – just 10 days before the launch event for BlackBerry 10 – ten intrepid developers will be trekking to the summit of Kilimanjaro. On the way to the top, they will be developing a charity application in the most strenuous hackathon ever – and they want to take you with them.

They will build and deploy the application right at the top of the mountain – but there will be a lot of activity throughout the climb. They will have BlackBerry 10 devices to record it all so that you can enjoy the adventure later, but you can also join the brave crew on Twitter for live-tweeting during the event.

The fearless ten taking part are:
@BlackBerryLuca@mweitzel@lelany,@alexbowker@glennthestein@crwblyth@BenQLive@ecolquhoun
and two other Twitterless climbers.

Make sure you follow them on Twitter.

Besides the fun and the adventurous coding, they will also be raising money for a charity.

If you wish to contribute and help in this challenge, you can go to this site and give your donation to Médecins Sans Frontières/Doctors Without Borders.
