BlackBerry have been dragging things out for Developers recently.

Developers are still waiting on word on their BlackBerry LE application, apps are taking weeks to be approved in the Vendor Portal and there are many devs still waiting on word of apps that they ported during the recent wave of port-a-thons.

One other area that has taken a while is the applications for the Dev Alpha C.

The Dev Relations Team have just sent out an email providing an update for those developers who applied for the Dev Alpha C program, so it appears that it’s not completely dead at the Dev Relations Team just yet.

The email basically informs developers that any apps they submitted to apply for the Dev Alpha C are currently being tested.  Now whether that is apps that have already been approved or apps that have been sitting for weeks waiting on approval is not clear.

The email is as follows:

Application submissions for the BlackBerry 10 Dev Alpha C program are now closed. The deadline for submitting applications for this program was February 5, 2013.

Applications that have been submitted for the BlackBerry Dev Alpha C program are currently being tested; the applications that qualify will be assigned points as per the point system outlined on the Inside BlackBerry Developer blog http://devblog.blackberry.com/2012/11/blackberry-10-dev-alpha-c/.

If you have been identified as eligible to receive a BlackBerry 10 Dev Alpha C, you can expect to receive further instructions on how to redeem the device by February 28, 2013.
