Alicia Keys tweets from her iPhone
While quoting some fresh Drake lyrics, BlackBerry’s new Creative Director Alicia Keys tweeted from her iPhone.
Keys had been tweeting from her BlackBerry Z10 since launch, but made the awkward mistake, perhaps hinting what her personal phone of choice may be.
Of course, no doubt the official line will be that this was one of her PR staff who just really likes Drake but if that’s the case, then her PR staff should be more than clued up on what devices to use.

yeah, I completely disagree with Mayank. She is now not only a BlackBerry employee but the Global Creative Director and she should be tweeting with her BlackBerry.
In her new role, she is supposedly going to be closely working with app developers, content creators, retailers, carriers and the entertainment community to further shape and enhance the BlackBerry 10 platform, and inspire creative use through its remarkable capabilities and functionality.
From music to books, to film, to apps, Keys will lead the charge of enhancing entertainment consumption and distribution, through the power of BlackBerry 10.
Apart from the fact that she doesn’t have the skills to work closely with developers etc, how on earth is she going to inspire and entice people to BlackBerry by using her iPhone.
I can’t agree there. Alicia Keys is not just endorsing BlackBerry, she WORKS for BlackBerry, and in a high-profile position to boot. IF she was tweeting from her iPhone, that should be considered a breach of contract since she is representing BlackBerry to the world. It is not her position to continue to use a competitor’s device as she is not an analyst whose job it would be to compare the two. Besides, having had an iPhone, she would know well what the comparisons are. I hope she never makes this kind of mistake again. It drops her credibility like a stone.
I don’t see how this would be so much of an issue. Most people endorsing brands move between devices. Also, she could always say that she wanted to check on a couple of features or usability points from the iPhone that could be leveraged better in the BB10 line of phone.
I am sure that EXACTLY what happened!!!!
In fact,
